Go ahead and jump to the biggest concert of the winter! Van Halen is one of the most important groups in the world and have reformed for 2012. The biggest hard rock group will perform all their greatest hits like “Jump” and ”Janie’s Cryin” at the United Center. They will also be promoting their new album, ”A Different Kind of Truth.”
The current line up of the band includes original singer David Lee Roth and the Van Halen family: guitar legend Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex, and Eddie’s son with Valerie Bertinelli, Wolfgang. The band hasn’t toured since 2008, but is making up for lost time. Their new album will be a return to the roaring guitar riffs and melodic songs that made the band rock superstars. Though Van Halen has been through a lot of drama over the years, it seems this time, Roth and the Van Halen brothers have finally made up and are seriously committed to the music.
Only a venue as big as United Center could host an enormously famous act like Van Halen. The United Center has 23,000- seat capacity for concerts and for Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks games. The United Center also has many eating establishments to visit before or after the show. Go to the Bar One or Ketel One clubs for a drink and fine American cuisine. Have a fun night out singing along to Van Halen.
