Books And Books In Coral Gables To Host Highly Acclaimed Author Julian Sher

Books & Books along with the Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade County and The Children’s Trust present this special opportunity to meet author Julian Sher and receive signed copies his new book, “Somebody’s Daughter.”

The event on January 15 will also include a question and answer session with the author. The investigative journalist begins his new book with a harsh look into the hidden story of America’s prostituted youth:

“When you get to Vegas, you’ve made it! Maria could hardly believe her luck. She had been selling her body since she was thirteen on some of the toughest ‘tracks’ in the country.”

Julian Sher is an award winning investigative journalist in print, television, radio and on the web.  He is a writer for Canada’s natnional newspaper, a veteran TV documentary writer, and the author of six widely-acclaimed books.

With 17 years experience funding programs that work with women and girls, Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade County is a leading voice for social change linking grantee partners, donors, and the greater community together to create a better understanding of the existing needs and opportunities for women and girls.

The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County.
