Passion8 Bistro (American)

Christmas Eve Hours: 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Passion8 Bistro
3415 Hwy 51
Fort Mill, SC 29715
Ph. 803-802-7455

This is one of my all-time top spots. Hidden in a quaint area off of Highway 51, this tiny restaurant packs a big punch. Italian Chef Luca Annunziata changes his exquisite menu daily, so the menu is sure to be fresh, local, seasonal, three of the things that Passion8 does best.

Ember Grille, The Westin Charlotte (American)

Christmas Eve Hours: 5 p.m to 10 p.m.

Ember Grille, The Westin Charlotte
601 S. College Street
Charlotte, NC 28202

Located inside of the savvy Westin Hotel, Ember Grille & Terrace boasts floor to ceiling windows, beautiful views of Uptown Charlotte, and a dining experience to be remembered. Join them for Christmas Eve dinner or even Christmas Day brunch.

Blue Restaurant, (Continental-Mediterranean)

Christmas Eve Hours: 5 p.m to 11 p.m.

Blue Restaurant
206 N. College Street
Charlotte, NC 28202

Arguably one of the best restaurants in Charlotte, Blue Restaurant & Bar delivers food directly from areas of the Mediterranean, from Moroccan tagines, to Mediterranean Sea Bass, to their traditional Tenderloin a la Blue. As if those options aren’t impressive enough, Blue is charging $39.95 for a three-course lobster dinner on Christmas Eve. I think we’ve found a winner.

Fig Tree (Continental)

Christmas Eve Hours: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Fig Tree
1601 E. 7th Street
Charlotte, NC 28204

Located within the Historic Elizabeth Neighborhood, The Fig Tree occupies a beautifully restored 1913 bungalow that’s been even further transformed for the holiday season. Join Chef Greg Zanitsch for some special menu festive features.

Morton’s Steakhouse (Steak)

Christmas Eve Hours: 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

227 W. Trade Street
Charlotte, NC 28202

Morton’s, the nation’s premier steakhouse group, specializes in generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, among other house specialties including plenty of fresh seafood options. Enjoy Morton’s full standard menu, along with a special three-course dinner for two for $109.99 that goes until December 31st.

Georges Brasserie, (French)

Christmas Eve Hours: 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Georges Brasserie
4620 Piedmont Row Drive, Suite 110
Charlotte, NC 28210

This place is a traditional French Brasserie and the menu is nothing short of exceptional. I’m talking a raw bar, fromage and charcuterie, steak frites, Trout Amandine, cassoulet, beef bourguignon, bouillabaisse, shepherd’s pie, and anything else French you can think of.

McCormick & Schmick’s (Seafood)

Christmas Eve Hours: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

McCormick & Schmick’s
200 S. Tryon Street
Charlotte, NC 28202

This popular chain caters to over 30 varieties of fresh fish and seafood, some local, some flown in directly from international waters. They have plenty of other menu highlights, but really, what more can you ask for from a seafood joint?

Enso Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar, Asian

Christmas Eve Hours: 5 p.m. ‘til midnight!

Enso Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar
210 E. Trade Street, #A-108
Charlotte, NC 28202

Enso is hip, lavish, and delicious. The interior is laid back and laced with tempo music, and the sushi is incredible. Located in Uptown’s hotspot, the EpiCenter is doing something right this place. It can get a tad pricey, but the cocktail list is extensive (and they have awesome sake!) and their Asian specialties are a treat. Go for the Pad Thai or the Filet Mignon Sushi Roll.
