As a bread lover, I must recommend Con Pane Rustic Breads and Café. Featured on numerous food blogs as well as San Diego Magazine’s 2010 Best of San Diego, I was lucky enough to stumble upon this lovely café. The smell of fresh bread surrounds neighboring blocks. Whether you are craving a fresh sourdough loaf or a cinnamon roll, Con Pane will give you the fix you need!

Knowing my love of bread, my boyfriend first brought me here when my specific craving for bread spurred. The café was busy which always signals to me delicious and fresh food. The café has indoor and outdoor seating and even offers to-go picnic meals. It’s perfect for a lunch date!

I sampled the Gorgonzola Roasted Red Onion and Walnut Focaccia and an Amazing Milk Chocolate Chuck Cookie. Finally, I finished off lunch with a Roasted Turkey Sandwich on Rosemary Olive Oil Bread. Yum, yum, yum! If I wasn’t allergic to cinnamon, I would have definitely taken a big bit out of the Brioche Cinnamon Roll. It looked so divine and I’ve been told it’s a favorite among the regulars.
