UncommonGoods is an online shop that offers “unique gifts and creative design” with a focus on sustainability. They provide whimsical handmade, recycled and environmentally friendly products for the home and garden, dining and entertaining, office, leisure, and jewelry and accessories, the majority of which are made in the United States.

UncommonGoods is also a founding member of the B Corporation, a non-profit that helps people understand the social and environmental impact of their purchases and holds companies to standards of social responsibility on issues ranging from wage levels to giving back to the community. As if these reasons aren’t persuasion enough to order from UncommonGoods, you can choose from a list of non-profits at checkout and UncommonGoods will donate $1 to that organization. Their business model, a collaborative effort, is also admirable. Artists submit their products to the buying team on the UncommonGoods website, and customers and fans vote on whether it should be added to the collection. Their website has a lot of interesting features and is categorized by gift recipients- for example, “Gifts for Dad,” “Music Lover gifts,” and “Stocking Stuffers,” which can make our lives a whole lot easier this time of year. Gift boxing and gift certificates are also available.

When shopping at UncommonGoods, you can rest assured you will be purchasing one-of-a-kind items that have been created without harm to people and animals, have a lifetime guarantee, and also benefit charities. Check out their site for more fun items!
