During a season of giving, the best thing that you can give yourself – and others – is your time and your smile. In a time of economic crisis and heartache, nonprofit organizations all over are looking for volunteers to help spread a little extra holiday cheer. Traveling to or near Monterey this year for the holidays? There are plenty of opportunities to donate the most precious gift you already have in your possession – selflessness. Across Monterey County, the holiday season weighs heavy on the mind of parents. Where will the toys come from this year? Where can I take my family to have a hot meal on Christmas Day? With your help, these families won’t have to worry.
Sponsored by the Crime Prevention Officer’s Association of Monterey County, there are toy drop offs located at various locations such as: Walgreens in both Seaside and Monterey; and also at the Marina, Monterey, Seaside, and Presidio of Monterey Police departments.
