Erica White was born in Baltimore, MD and had the most amazing experience growing up in such a diverse area. She was able to experience the fast hustle and bustle of the city as well as the slower pace of the suburbs. She works in management, but writing has always been her passion and creative outlet. Maryland’s Sandy Point State Park Presents Lights On The Bay

If you haven’t experienced Sandy Point State Park’s, “Lights On The Bay“, then tis the season to began a new tradition for you and yours! Now until January 1st, 2012, along the shore of  The Chesapeake Bay, you can view over 60 brilliant light displays.  Be careful not to spill, as you sip hot cocoa with your family or that special someone in the car, as you take in this years display’s.  Illuminations included this year are “The Ice Castle”, “Winter Fairy Tales”, “Dino Lights” and many more.  Two new displays have been added: “Up North Village” and “Candy Cane Lane”.

This amazing display has been sponsored by the Anne Arundel Medical Center ,for the last 17 years.  This event has something for everyone in the family.  If the two mile scenic drive wasn’t enough to get you excited, check out some of the other events planned this season.  Children and young adults can participate in the nightly scavenger hunt, where they must find items strategically placed in the snow.  Daily drawings will take place and some wonderful prizes will be given away this year.  Special glasses can be purchased at the front door.  Find the special 3D images hidden amongst the many lights.

Discounted coupons will be given out in many of the downtown Annapolis stores.  What a perfect excuse to start your holiday shopping early.  A lot of the stores are staying open late for the holiday’s, so get your shopping bags ready!

Get your wish list ready as Santa will make an appearance Thanksgiving day and every weekend through December 24th. Don’t Wait! Book early and get your tickets now!
