The week of November 16-20 marks the 8th annual San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival. Nationally recognized as Southern California’s largest wine and culinary event, the celebration of fabulous wine, food, and entertainment will be an affair you don’t want to miss out on.
The festival will feature 170 wine and spirit producers along with an exciting line-up of celebrity chefs and culinary personalities. This year, previous contenders from Bravo TV’s Top Chef will be in attendance, along with winners of The Next Food Network Star, The Hearty Boys, and the James Beard Foundation award-winners. The chefs will hold tasting classes and cooking seminars throughout the week, and there will also be a Celebrity Chef Luncheon & AIWF Big Bottle Auction, VIP after parties, and an exclusive Reserve Tasting & Silent Auction.
Festival execs are also pleased to announce the Bocuse d’Or Culinary Council Dinner, a six-course meal created by four admired American chefs from around the United States.
Most attendees, though, are looking forward to the Grand Tasting event held on Saturday, November 19th. It showcases all the top wineries, 70 of San Diego’s finest restaurants and chefs, 30 gourmet food companies, a cookbook author signing, and, of course, live entertainment. Tickets start at $125, a great deal considering all the attractive wine and delicious food that will be available.
