Annapolis Bookstore Celebrates National Novel Writing Month

The month of November usually brings thoughts of scrumptious turkey eating, pre-Christmas shopping and colder weather.  It also happens to be National Novel Writing Month.  All you writers out there pull out your best stationary and grab your pen and pencils.  The Annapolis Bookstore is one of the official writing sites for the yearly event.  Writers of all levels have 30 days to write with wreckless abandon.  The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in a month but feel free to set your own personal target.  On November 30th the Annapolis bookstore will buy you a  cup of coffee while you work on your manuscript.  The bookstore will also boast extended hours till midnight that night. Refreshments will be served so all you writers can keep your energy levels up. The friendly staff will be on hand that night to answer any questions and sharpen pencil’s!

National Novel Writing Month is run by a small but mighty non profit company called “The Office of Letters & Light“.  They help children and adults find inspiration, encouragment and structure to reach their full creative potential.  Through their website they provide online support for writers of every background and skill set. This includes online forums, tutorial sessions and live events throughout the year.  Example forums include the reference desk, plot doctering and reaching 50,000 words.

Come out and support your local Annapolis bookstore this November.  Any writers block can easily be cured with one of their many rare books.  Get lost in the latest fiction novel or increase your knowledge and grab a good documentary. A cozy chair and your perfect book awaits.

WHEN: November 30th from 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.
