Miss A Columnist

Kristin Lewnes is a tried and true California girl! She has carried that So Cal personality, style and ease through her many adventures across the country and around the world. Kristin grew up on the sunny beaches of San Diego, but has lived all over the country, including California, Illinois, Indiana, Washington D.C. and now Maryland.

Kristin spent her college years at the beautiful Malibu campus of Pepperdine University, where she followed her passion for people, speaking, analyzing and writing and majored in Rhetorical Theory while having the most incredible time experiencing the adventures of living in L.A.! Her passion for government and making a difference in the world led her to spend a year as a California Senate Fellow. Kristin knew she had more to achieve and went on to Notre Dame Law School to learn how to be “a different kind of lawyer.” After graduating and passing the dreaded California Bar Exam, Kristin brought her sunny personality to Washington, D.C. to “change the world,” while there, she embarked on numerous adventures working for a high-powered, international law firm, the President and then an anti-human trafficking non-profit organization. Then, when she least expected it, an amazing man entered her life (“Lewnes” ring a bell to all you Annapolitans who have enjoyed an incredible steak at The Lewnes Steakhouse), and she got married and moved to the beautiful city of Annapolis – the water was calling her back. Kristin spends her free time embarking on many adventures in Annapolis, across the country and around the world.

WR Chance Diamond Jewelers In Annapolis: One Stop Shop For Engagement Rings

When looking for my engagement ring, my husband, a traditionalist, took it upon himself to find the perfect fit all on his own. He embarked on a long, three-month journey to find an engagement ring that he thought would perfectly suit me. He visited countless jewelers and diamond specialists throughout the Washington, D.C. and Annapolis area. He returned with stacks of paper describing every detail of how to choose the right diamond and pick the right setting. In the end, he found the right fit in the knowledge and friendliness of the family-owned jewelry store located at the bottom of Main Street in Historic Annapolis, WR Chance Diamond Jewelers.

He worked with one of the friendliest jewelers, Kay, to find the perfect ring for me – he described that he wanted something “elegant, classy, unique with a twist of antique.” He also clarified the one thing he did know I had to have – 18kt yellow gold. Together, they found the perfect Tacori engagement ring I never knew I always wanted. When he proposed at sunrise on Assateague Island, the Tacori ring took my breath away. Since that day, I continue to visit WR Chance to talk with Kay and get my ring cleaned. I have become friends with everyone in WR Chance, and they remember my husband and me every time we stop in. We have started to go to them for all of our jewelry needs now.
