On Thursday November 10, Beth Caron will be featuring her new collection of photography titled “What’s Missing.” Capturing the innocence of a child in raw black and white photography, the pictures depict truth and beauty in everyday life experiences. The exhibit is based on slices of life at the playground.
One of my favorite pieces depicts the simplicity of a child riding down a slide. However, only the pattern of the young girl’s skirt and her feet are shown, as if to give an honest memory of a childhood that’s passed. Themes of the exhibit are focused on children at play, motion, and family. The exhibit will be featured from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Illuminated Metropolis Gallery in Chelsea.
WHEN: Thursday, November 10 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m.
