On Saturday, September 24, Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens, the Alliance Française de Washington, and the Art Soirée will team up for an evening of fashion, culture, and art. The Franco-Russian-American soiree will showcase the finest of each culture and will appeal to all the senses.
The event will kick off with an outdoor fashion show featuring three contemporary designer lines of ready-to-wear and bridal fashions. Russian born designer, Marina Asta, and French born Camille Pascal will present their latest fall collections, and local designer Elizabeth St. John will reveal her Spring 2012 bridal collection. Models will show the latest trends in hair and make-up presented by Salon Emage Day Spa.
The evening will further continue with DJ Fotifo spinning latest French, Russian and American beats to provide the ambiance; Café Bonaparte and Café Assorti will offer the best of the ethnic fare to delight the soul and satiate the appetite. Explore the estate’s wide collection of French and Russian art or Hillwood’s popular exhibition Wedding Belles: Bridal Fashions from the Marjorie Merriweather Post Family, 1874-1958.
Following Nuit de la Mode, the party moves to the Wonder Bread Factory, 641 S Street NW, for Art All Night from 9:30pm to 3:00 am.
