It’s that time of year again! And for all you fashion lovers in New York City, this might just be the best night of the whole year. While it’s a holiday only two years old, it is definitely a fabulous one. Fashion’s Night Out this year is Thursday September 8th starting at 6 p.m., where the kick off to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week celebrates the beauty of shopping all around the city. This year, the night is yet again filled with so many wonderful events and sales and the classic FNO T-shirts where proceeds are donated to charity. Another reason to get excited about this event is the fun and energetic cast of Fox’s hit show Glee singing and dancing to promote the event. I know every time I hop into a cab across town and see the Glee FNO trailer on the little TV screen in the back of the cab, I can’t help but count down the days!
While Vogue and the CFDA put together FNO originating in New York City, cities all over the US and abroad are participating. The fashion industry isn’t excluding all the online shopping addicts out there either; there are a ton of FNO sales online. This is a night void of buyer’s remorse so treat yourself to some retail therapy and celebrate good fashion!
Beyond just great shopping and a good time, there are several unique events you won’t want to miss! This Thursday you can come out for mini makeovers at Gansevoort plaza, visit the designer sample sale at Loehman’s, get a free glass of champagne at Bistro Chat Noir at Madison and 66th, and even see a Designer Dog Show at Bergdorf Goodman.
