Do you love animals? Do you love to eat delicious Maryland crabs? Then put your two loves together and come out to the Kent Island Yacht Club on Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the Sixth Annual Crab Feast to Benefit the Animals!
The Animal Resource Foundation (ARF) is a non-profit located on Kent Island in Chester, Maryland, dedicated to saving and improving the lives of our four legged friends throughout the Mid-Atlantic region by rescuing them from animal shelters. Their belief is that no animal deserves to be abandoned, neglected, abused or arbitrarily killed.
Through the creation of public awareness opportunities, outreach programs, providing a nurturing environment for rehabilitation and a spay/neuter program, ARF is able to make adoption the practical alternative.
Bring the kids and come out to the island and eat some scrumptious crabs and corn on the cob (provided by J.R. Thomas Seafood), tasty pulled pork and salads (provided by Kent Island Yacht Club), beer, soda and desserts all while listening to the groovy music of Sparks, Raymond and McCoy. All proceeds go directly to the Animal Resource Foundation to help with their mission of finding loving homes for animals!
