Some of my fondest memories growing up are those of my time as a Girl Scout. Trips to Camp Marydale, working on merit badges and of course the cookies…lots and lots of cookies. We all look forward to Girl Scout Cookie time every year. After all, it is an opportunity to support your local Girl Scout troops while also indulging in some sweet treats (my favorite is the Samoas, which were called Caramel Delights in my day). But there is no need to wait until cookie time rolls around to support the Girl Scouts.
There are many Ways to Give programs throughout the year. One such program is the Girl Scouts Louisiana East “Scouting for Supper” event. “Scouting for Supper” takes place on various nights over the course of the year in select Louisiana restaurants. On these nights, the partner restaurant will donate 10-20% of the night’s proceeds to Girl Scouts Louisiana East. Simply bring in your “Scouting for Supper” flyer on the appointed night to have your bill counted. Girl Scouts Louisiana East is comprised of 23 Louisiana parishes serving over 16, 500 girls. By participating in “Scouting for Supper,” you help your local Girl Scout council continue its mission to instill courage, confidence and character in thousands of young girls while enjoying delicious food with your family and friends.
Girl Scouts Louisiana East is currently seeking restaurants for future “Scouting for Supper” events.
