Slip on Style is an online wardrobe consultant service created by fashion enthusiast Jessica Stoller. She began her career styling models at Modern Bride magazine which ultimately led her to work at other prestigious magazines like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Gotham. Then she began her new business venture helping women with personal style in New York City and surrounding areas. Stoller describes her personal style as “Ralph Lauren chic” and thinks it is essential for a woman to have a wardrobe full of classic, timeless pieces that are not only stylish but functional. The services at Slip on Style include a consultation which covers analyzing the client’s current wardrobe, discussing personal style, and going through current fashion trends. Next is a closet consultation that is fit to specific needs, and finally a shopping experience where Jessica is a personal fashion scout and takes the client shopping at all the hottest stores to help her find a new stylish wardrobe. Consultations can be done by email, phone, meeting, or in home and range from $25 to $125. Closet consultations within Manhattan are $300; the price goes up for out of area locations but services are still offered. Finally, the price of the shopping trip is three hours for $300, five hours is $500, and an all-day extravagant fashion trip is $1,000.

Not only can you treat yourself to this experience, but you can also purchase a gift certificate for a friend who is slacking at style. Stoller has also hosted some fabulous events which I will now be attending as an intern including a Catherine Malandrino shopping event being held on August 18th and an upcoming Michael Kors event. She also continues to promote Slip on Style through press, reviews from the likes of Vogue employees, and word-of-mouth from customers. For more information about her services or to get a wardrobe consultation, visit Slip on Style. It is the perfect time to start shopping for your own personal fall collection!
