The title of the book may be a little, um, shall-we-say “crude” for Miss A, but we had to let our readers know about an upcoming opportunity to meet Adam Mansbach, The New York Times #1 bestselling author of Go The F**k To Sleep. Since being published, the book has developed quite a cult following and has been lauded as “the secret anthem of tired parents everywhere.”

Go The F**k To Sleep is a bedtime book for parents who live in the real world, where a few snoozing kitties and cutesy rhymes don’t always send a toddler sailing off to dreamland. Honest, profane, and affectionate, Adam Mansbach’s verses and Ricardo Cortés’ illustrations perfectly capture the familiar—and unspoken—tribulations of putting your little angel down for the night, and open up a conversation about parenting in the process.”  Sounds like the perfect cheeky gift for those soon-to-be parents!

Mr. Mansbach will read from and sign copies of his book at P.J. Clarke’s in the upstairs dining room and bar on Wednesday, July 27. Books will be available for purchase on site for $14.95.

Valet parking is available for $5; the valet is located on 16th Street. Farragut North (Red Line) and Farragut West (Orange and Blue lines) are the closest metro stops.

You can RSVP online at Facebook.  The event is free and open to the public so be sure to bring a friend!
