If you’re looking for a reason to head down and check it all out, here’s a fantastic one: on June 29, 2011 at 6PM, Legal Harborside sponsors an event to benefit the Pan-Mass Challenge and cancer research, hosted by Billy Costa and Jenny Johnson of NECN’s “TV Diner”. Team NECN expects to have 14 of its own riders participating in the Pan-Mass Challenge, riding anywhere from 50 to nearly 200 miles. Supporters and foodies alike are expected to attend the benefit, where attendees will be able to sample from Legal’s stellar raw bar, enjoy a glass of sangria, and participate in a live auction, with the proceeds from tickets ($40 each) and the auction all being donated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The Pan-Mass challenge is an annual summer event that raises millions of dollars for cancer research and takes hundreds of dedicated bicycle riders across the state of Massachusetts in support of the bike-a-thon’s cause and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Many riders ride in memory of friends and family that have lost their battles against cancer or are currently undergoing treatment. This year’s fundraising goal is $34 million.
