Mine for Nine: Purchase or Borrow Maternity Clothing

When I was pregnant I attended a black tie wedding.  My first thought upon receiving the invitation even months before was “what will I wear?”  While this is a typical question for any social event, trying to find something appropriate and stylish at six months pregnant was a bit more challenging. I settled on a simple, very forgiving black dress (black is a pregnant woman’s best friend.).  It did the trick but I wish I had known about maternity fashion website Mine for Nine, an online boutique specializing in maternity fashion to purchase or borrow.  While some women are willing to spend a small fortune on maternity clothing during the bump months, most do not want to blow the baby’s college fund on a special outfit when they are well above their normal weight.  Mine for Nine resolves this problem by loaning maternity apparel for a period of two to six weeks.  Beyond just dresses and evening wear, you can also rent business attire, nursing tops and coats.

Particularly cute for evening is The New LBMD Dress with ruffle detail and side ruching, available to buy for $182.00 or to “borrow” for two weeks for $45.00 (up to six weeks for $135.00).  Looking to impress the boss at your last business meeting before maternity leave?  Consider the Plaid Work Dress by Olian.  Yours for one month for $24.00.

If you may be pregnant now or in the future, save some cash by borrowing instead of buying at Mine for Nine.
