Miss A Columnist

Ashley Parker spent four years in DC, writing and styling for the fashion section of the Washington Post, and its sister style publication, Fashion Washington. She now calls New York her home as a writer, editor and lover of all things style who recently started working for Vanity Fair. Living in the city's West Village, Ashley will be on hand to report on all the newest trends in fashion, how to wear them, new designers and lines to look out for. She will be your eyes and ears at New York Fashion Week, reporting who's in the front row, what designer killed it and just how crazy the after-parties got. As a Carrie-Bradshaw idolizer who lives in Louboutins, Ashley is ready to tackle New York City, one fashion show at a time. Her favorite designers include Betsey Johnson, Christian Siriano, Alexander McQueen and Balmain and wouldn't be caught dead in harem pants or anything by Ed Hardy.

Supermodels Shine In Style At Cannes Charity Event

As the Cannes Film Festival was winding down, the fashion was just heating up at one of the hottest parties in the south of France. Last Thursday at the 2011 amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala, held at the exclusive seaside Hotel du Cap in Cap D’Antibes, it was the supermodel guests who stole the show with their sizzling style. Doutzen Kroes, the current face of L’Oreal, looked drop dead gorgeous in a backless tangerine Balenciaga minidress and sky-high Lavin stilettos.

Fashion icon Naomi Campbell went for a vintage flapper vibe in a fringed Givenchy Couture frock while Bar Refaeliwore a Roberto Cavalli beaded and feathered champagne gown. The 25-year-old Israeli model also sparkled with the help of diamond studs and a a diamond ring by Chopard.

The only thing better than the models’ fabulous fashion choices? The fact that the event raised over $10 million towards HIV research.
