Have you ever dreamed about visiting the Cuba of yesteryear?  CubaNostalgia is an event that will give visitors a full experience of Cuban life and culture.  The event will be held at the Fair-Expo Center on Friday, May 20, 2011 through Sunday, May 22, 2011.

“We extend a warm welcome to all those who wish to celebrate Miami’s Cuban heritage.  CubaNostalgia is a journey back in time for those who remember the island’s glamorous times – and for those who never experienced them,” said Leslie Pantín, president of CubaNostalgia.

CubaNostalgia, the largest event of Cuban heritage, features exhibits, music, dance, food and history.  Live Cuban rhythms such as habanera, cha cha, and mambo will fill the air.  Numerous vendors will sell Cuban-oriented products, from guayaberas to café cups, memorabilia, books, cigars and music.  The best of Cuban art by artists such as Lam, Portocarrero, Bermudez, Calzada and Mijares will be available, as well as artwork by independent artists who will be on-site displaying their works.

Multiple generations and more than 30,000 people are expected to attend the three-day festival.  “We are happy to host this event for all those that are interested in Cuban culture,” stated Emilio Calleja, CubaNostalgia’s vice president.
