Lorrie Dixson went to boarding school at Salem Academy with Miss A. After graduating from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in Communications, she moved to Atlanta and worked for CNN for 15 years. She is currently an entrepreneur who owns Eskimo Advertising, a full service boutique advertising and public relations agency. Her company combines targeted public relations and advertising with grassroots marketing, promotions and social marketing in order for her clients to receive great exposure in a cost effective manner.

The Postcard Show: Wish you Were Here!

The Postcard Show: Wish you Were Here! is set to take place on Wednesday, May 11th from 6–8pm at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art located at 161 Calhoun Street. Inspired by the RCA Secret show held annually at the Royal College of Art in London, the Postcard Show is a one night exhibition of anonymously displayed 4 x 6 inch artwork available for purchase at $75 per piece. Each piece will be signed on the back in order to keep the artist’s name a secret until the works are sold. All proceeds will benefit the Skirt! Scholarship Fund at the College of Charleston. Guests will enjoy original art, music by DJs Cassidy & The Kid, champagne from La Bubbly Bar and tasty food by O-Ku!
