Mira Mira: New Boutique in the Mission

Having a serious love affair with independent design labels can be quite a challenge and often involves some serious research and legwork on my part.   More than once I have found myself fantasizing about the perfect boutique, a place that is personable and chock full of my favorite hard to find labels.

Evidently, someone must have heard my prayers.  Located in the heart of the Mission at 22nd and Valencia, Mira Mira is a fresh breath of perfection.   This newly opened boutique not only carries highly coveted and hard to find labels, but also actively responds to customer influence as to which designers will be carried in the boutique each season.

Small but somehow spacious, every piece in this boutique counts.  My guess is that I could blindly pick any article in the store and wind up happy with the results.  By way of illustration, the first item I touched was a bright yellow knit sweater by Australian label, My Pet Square that I had been eyeing online the very same day.  From there, I fingered and nearly purchased an owl print asymmetric dress by Leila Shams – a label that is highly elusive to Northern California.

After putting my name down on their mailing list, I was happy to learn that they hold monthly ‘girls nights’ events.  Featuring activities from trunk shows and clothing swaps to movie nights and champagne, Mira Mira is more of an interactive experience rather than just another boutique.

See what items they have in store and find out more about upcoming events by visiting the Mira Mira Website.
