Charlotte Academy of Music

Summer is fast approaching and if you are like me, you are on the hunt for creative plans to keep your children active this summer.  It is all too easy for them to spend an entire day in front of the television or computer.  The pool is always a great solution, but we as parents need several items in our bag of tricks.  Here is one for you…Summer is a great time for music lessons.  Charlotte Academy of Music is a great place to start.

Students new to music lessons will find summer is an ideal to time to begin.  A more flexible schedule in the summer allows students more time to devote to their instrument.  Without the normal distractions of the school year like homework, sports or other time-consuming activities, students can make great strides in their music lessons…laying the groundwork for a very successful coming school year as well.

Many students also begin private music lessons in the summer for a jump start before entering their school band, orchestra or choral program at school in the fall.  A third chair student can become first chair with the help of an excellent private lesson teacher over the summer!

For students already involved in music lessons, continuing through the summer is crucial to retaining their skills and continuing to progress.

Charlotte Academy of Music offers a flexible scheduling program in the summer, and many students take a combination of private lessons and summer camps.  Summer is also wonderful time to explore new avenues of music such as composition, music history, musical theatre or start a new instrument!   The talented, dedicated faculty of teachers enjoy customizing summer programs to introduce students to new styles of music, ensemble playing opportunities (duets, trios etc) and getting a head start on competition repertoire for the coming school year.

Grab your friends and join the fun at Charlotte Academy of Music.  Summer Camps are currently being offered in Music, Art, Glee, Musical Theater & more.  As an added bonus, Charlotte Academy of Music is pleased to offer a discount on summer camp for anyone who lists the askmissa.com website when registering.  For a listing of the summer camps and descriptions, please visit  https://www.charlotteacademyofmusic.com/enrich_summer_camp.html.
