Looking for a playspace, daycare, camp or babysitter services? Well, really who isn’t when you have kids in New York City and I am very happy to report that I discovered such a place with NY City Explorers.
With two locations in Brooklyn, NY City Explorers offers families and their little ones a great place to enjoy classes, indoor play (for those unavoidable winter days), cool classes, camp programs and even a place to celebrate birthdays. They also offer interesting events like Cereal Saturdays where parents can drop-off their kids for a morning play group with breakfast, old school cartoons and playtime in their huge playspace or Dinner and a Movie, another drop-off option where parents can leave their child at NY City Explorers for four hours as children have a pizza dinner and enjoy a tot-friendly movie.
I recently checked out the Prospect Heights facility during their open playspace with my daughter. Designed for newborns to age five, the $10 day pass allowed me and my daughter access to play with their toys, games and enjoy their spacious backyard. Not only a place for my daughter to run wild and enjoy someone else’s toys it was a great place to spend the morning as I socialized with other moms (and their kids) as well as relax in their comfortable chairs. I also loved how clean the space was and that parents had access to a microwave, changing table and fridge. After playing for over two hours, it was time to go home but I was happy to know that we would be back – hopefully sooner rather than later.
