Laura Swanstrom Reece is a sixteen-year resident of the Washington Metropolitan area, she is a philanthropist and fundraiser at heart. With experience in corporate and grass-roots fundraising, event production on an Olympic scale, and volunteer management, this entrepreneur and member of The Washington Ballet Women's Committee is passionate about supporting the arts and other non-profit organizations that work tirelessly to make change in our nation's capital and beyond.

National Conference of State Societies Grand Ball

The National Conference of State Societies cordially invites you to attend the 63rd Annual Grand Ball, Sushi Reception and Silent Auction on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel. The lavish event is the highlight of the National Cherry Blossom Festival and honors the 2011 State Society Cherry Blossom Princesses.

The evening will begin with a traditional sushi reception and silent auction, followed by an elegant dinner with entertainment.   As desert is served, the recently crowned 2011 Japan Cherry Blossom Queen and International Princesses will be introduced.  As the U.S. State and Territorial Societies present their Princesses, one of these accomplished U.S. women will be selected and crowned the 2011 U.S. Cherry Blossom Queen.  This magical evening of international exchange ends with dancing to the sweet sounds of a live band.  An extraordinary Washington event not to be missed!

Tickets are $150 per person or $1,500 table of 10
