This St. Patrick’s Day, get ready to celebrate the luck of the Irish with the three C’s. That’s right: cocktails, canines, and charity!
Like any proper chihuahua mom, I was “pawsitively” thrilled to hear about the St. Pawtrick’s Day Yappy Hour being held at the Muse Hotel on March 16th. Hosted by Animal Fair, this event will benefit the Humane Society of New York.
The festivities include celebrity guests such as Wendy Diamond, Tinsley Mortimer, Nicole Lapin, Jimmy Floyd, Rob Shuter, Thomas Farley, Robert Verdi and and their fabulous four-legged friends. Lucky dogs and their parents can indulge in treats, such as caninelicious puptails and hound-d’oeuvres for the humans, and pet-friendly beer for their pooches! Attendees are encouraged to dress up in green and gold with a splash of rainbow, i.e. their St. Patty’s Day finest!
If you don’t have a favorite furry friend, worry not! The Humane Society of New York will have adoptable dogs at the event, ready to go home with their new best friend. I was lucky enough to rescue my chihuahua, Gillman, at the Humane Society six years ago, and he’s been my constant companion and true source of happiness ever since. So grab your lucky charms and get ready to fall in (puppy) love at Yappy Hour!
Gillman and I are already perusing the closet looking for coordinating green ensembles to wear. He’s debating between the chihuahua tee with a four-leaf clover, or the chi-tee with a sparkly pot of gold. Oh, decisions, decisions!
We hope to see you at the St. Pawtrick’s Day Yappy Hour, the luckiest “howliday” of the year! Stay tuned for a post-Yappy Hour article, complete with photos of pooches and their parents from the event!
