There’s another reason to fall in love with Georgetown. In addition to the charming setting and romantic ambiance, many Georgetown restaurants are concocting seductively delicious Love Potions available throughout the Valentine’s weekend for an exclusive Valentine’s Day special.
Georgetown restaurants are joining delicious forces and hosting a neighborhood-wide Love Potion Cocktail Promotion from Friday, February 11 through Monday, February 14. Nineteen neighborhood restaurants are offering their own signature “Love Potion” cocktail, at a special V-Day price of 2 for $14. Made with everything from desire-inducing fig to alluring rich chocolate, Georgetown is setting the stage for a romantic rendezvous with that special “someone.” Some of the names are really fun, like the Cinn City at Bourbon Steak, Cupid’s Arrow at Mie N Yu or Menage a Trois at Paolo’s. It’s a fun deal for couples or a group of gal pals to enjoy delicious, affordable drinks.
Each cocktail includes at least one natural aphrodisiac – everything from luscious strawberries to herbal sage. And the best part is that dates can sip these cocktails at a secluded table for two, overlooking the romantic waterfront, or even sitting in the exact same booth where JFK proposed to Jackie.
Below is a list of participating restaurants and their Love Potions:
Bourbon Steak: Diners are encouraged to indulge their guilty pleasures with Bourbon Steak’s Cinn City, a sinful cocktail made with Four Roses bourbon, Peychaud’s bitters and cinnamon, stirred and served up with a twist. Bourbon Steak is located at the Four Seasons, 2800 Pennsylvania Ave., NW. Come drink, relax and watch the celebrities and politicos intermix. People I’ve spotted there are: documentary film maker Ken Burns, President of Pakistan, opera singer Renee Fleming, TV’s Hard Ball Chris Matthews, Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, etc.
Neyla: Often named one of the most romantic restaurants in DC, Neyla is offering three different aphrodisiac cocktails throughout the weekend including: The Figo with fresh fig, dark rum and fresh lime juice; The Fraise with fresh muddled strawberries, fresh sage and wild cherry vodka and the Chocolate Raspberry Truffle with 70% Valrhona chocolate fondue, raspberry infused vodka; and Frangelico. Ristorante Piccolo: Known for their delicious selection of house made grappas, Ristorante Piccolo is offering three love potions with the traditional Italian grape liquor. Guests can sip the Black Mojito with housemade blackberry grappa, fresh mint and lime; Bello Mirtillo with housemade blueberry grappa, fresh lime and Sprite; or the Bella Donna, a combination of Bacardi Limon, housemade strawberry grappa, Crème de Banana and fresh lemon juice. Paolo’s Ristorante: Almost like dessert in a glass, Paolo’s is mixing up the indulgent Menage a Trois with three jumbo strawberries, Cointreau, Amaretto, Tia Maria, chocolate ganache and powdered sugar. Paolo’s is located at 1303 Wisconsin Ave., NW.
Mie N Yu: The Roman god of desire and affection, Cupid will be working his magic at Mie N Yu with Cupid’s Arrow, a love-inducing concoction of Bacardi Citrus rum, house-infused lavender raspberry syrup, grapefruit juice and champagne.

J. Paul’s is serving up the decadent Chocolate Raspberry XOXO with Silver Tequila, black raspberry liqueur, Crème de Cocoa, cream, fresh raspberries and chocolate. J. Paul’s is located at 3218 M St., NW.
Martin’s Tavern: The perfect way to keep warm on a cold winter night, Martin’s Raspberry Truffle is a seductive hot chocolate cocktail infused with Godiva Chocolate liqueur and Chambord topped with fresh raspberry whipped cream, cinnamon and chocolate shavings. Dates can score bonus points by requesting the Proposal Booth where JFK proposed to Jackie. Also their breakfast/ brunch is amazing! Martin’s Tavern is located at 1264 Wisconsin Ave., NW.
Clyde’s: A bolder way to ask than with a box of candy hearts, Clyde’s Be Mine Martini is a mix of Bombay Sapphire, St. Germain liqueur, pomegranate juice, a squeeze of lemon and splash of soda, garnished with pomegranate seeds. 1789: 1789’s Love Potion #89 will have guests falling in love in no time, with a delicious mix of Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur, sparkling wine and blood orange puree. 1789 is located at 1226 36th St., NW.
Daily Grill: Everyone gets a kiss with Daily Grill’s The Daily Kiss, made with muddled mint and raspberry rum, St. Germain liqueur, Grenadine, topped off with soda and two cherries. Daily Grill is located at 1310 Wisconsin Ave., NW.
Café Bonaparte: Those who really want to impress a date with the finer things in life can try Café Bonaparte’s Champagne with Strawberry Caviar. Strawberry pearls made to look like caviar are served alongside a glass of Brut Champagne, with the delicate pearls revealing a sweet strawberry sensation, and served in a dual flute perfect for sharing. Nick’s Riverside Grill: With romantic, scenic views of the Potomac, couples can head to the waterfront and sip the Love Spark, a bubbly mix of champagne and VeeV açaí liquor. Nick’s Riverside Grill is located at Washington Harbour at 3050 K St., NW.
Degrees: While enjoying the classic, seductive lounge setting at the Ritz Carlton Georgetown, guests can sip Degrees’ Intense Rose martini, a mix of Bombay Sapphire, champagne, elderflower liqueur and rose water, topped with a rose petal garnish. Degrees is located at 3100 South St., NW.
Peacock Café: Inspired by one of the most romantic countries in the world, Peacock Café’s French Kiss combines sparkling wine and Chambord , garnished with a fresh raspberry. Peacock Café is located at 3251 Prospect St., NW.
Thunder Burger: A unique way of giving flowers to a Valentine, Thunder Burger’s Roselle Martini is a sweet blend of St. Germain liqueur, Absolut Vodka, hibiscus flower syrup and sparkling wine, garnished with an edible hibiscus flower. Thunder Burger is located at 3056 M St., NW.
Bangkok Joe’s is spicing things up with Hot Lips, a sizzling love potion of Skyy Raspberry vodka, Triple Sec, sour mix and strawberry purée, rimmed with salt & Thai chili power. Bangkok Joe’s is located at 3000 K St., NW.
Bodega: Guests are invited to break the rules and taste Bodega’s Forbidden Fruit, a fruity combination of Stoli Gala Applik apple vodka, mango nectar and St. Germain liqueur. Bodega is located at 3116 M St., NW.
Farmers & Fishers is keeping the evening fun and flirty with The Flirty Farmer’s Fizz, a bubbly potion of “Pink” Prosecco with a sugar cube soaked in bitters, with a lemon spiral garnish. Farmers & Fishers is located at 3000 K St., NW.
Sea Catch Restaurant: An intoxicating take on the classic Valentine’s Day dessert, Sea Catch’s Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini is a delicious mix of Stoli Strawberry vodka, Crème de Cacao and simple syrup, served in a chocolate swirled martini glass.
