On Friday, October 15, join founder Amanda Marshall of Fair Chance as they honor Advisory Board Member Tobias Dengel as the 2010 Fair Chance Champion with celebratory cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and live music by The Winn Brothers Band at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium.
Founded in 2002, Fair Chance works to ensure that children living in poverty in our nation’s capital have access to quality programs that will enable them to follow their dreams. In free, year-long partnerships, Fair Chance identifies promising community-based youth and family organizations in Wards 5-8 and works with them to increase their organizational capacity and improve the effectiveness and sustainability of their programs.
Fair Chance has made a measurable and real difference in the lives of children in Washington, D.C. for seven years, including helping partner organizations raise more than $2 million in new funds.
Last year’s Butterfly Bash raised more than $100,000 for the organization and hosted over 400 guests. This year’s host committee includes Daily Candy’s Annie Lou Berman, Sassanvoa’s Sassy Jacobs and interior designer Liz Levin.
