Denise Shardlow of Shardlow Designs will be featuring her sustainable clothing line at the Brick Hotel in Newtown, Pa this Thursday night, September 23rd, from 6-9pm.
A designer for the past 10 years, Shardlow now concentrates solely on sustainable fabrics such as bamboo, soy, organic cotton, and hemp. Her vision is to create women’s contemporary clothing that isn’t “your typical ‘earthy crunchy’ clothing, but an elegant line of sportswear that will take a women throughout her day”.
The Brick Hotel is a well known restaurant and bed and breakfast that dates back to 1763. At one time the Brick Hotel hosted George Washington and his officers and was known as a fashionable resort for wealthy Philadelphians. Currently, the Brick is known for it’s award winning Sunday brunches, al fresco garden dining, glass enclosed veranda seating that overlooks Newtown’s main street, and charming guest rooms for overnight stays.
For $12, guests will enjoy a drink, light appetizers, and raffles. Also on hand will be licensed aesthetician, Rebecca Abel, to demonstrate her paraben free skin care and makeup from Glo-Therapeutics.
