Frizz is in!!

Emilio Pucci Runway

Do you remember the days of stick straight flat ironed hair? I wanted my hair straight as a bone, flat to my head, with not one ounce of frizz. The days of non textured hair have come and gone. Designers like Marc Jacobs, Pucci, and Roberto Cavalli made textured slightly frizzy hair the look of their S/S 2010 runway shows. Natural is the new ‘fixed’. During summer months, I don’t even want to think about a high heat blow dryer. With this new look becoming popular, why worry about blow drying?

In the shower start with a shampoo that won’t weigh down your hair, I suggest L’oreal Abundance De Cacao. Finish with a conditioning mask, L’oreal Masque Cacao, it smells like delicious lemon pound cake.

Towel dry hair and spray in a leave in conditioner, try Phyto Phytomist Leave In. I’ve made up my own special concoction to enhance waves and build volume. I put two quarter size dollops of Ted Gibson Tame It (for shorter hair use only one quarter) and mix it with GHD Sea Spray. Scrunch the product throughout your hair, hold hair loosely in palm and scrunch upwards. Continue until all of your hair is saturated. Flip hair over and shake it out at your scalp. Let hair air dry, and occasionally scrunch while drying.

This look reminds me of California surfer girls, it’s so natural and fresh. I’ve been getting tons of compliments on my undone look. I’ve been telling everyone embrace your frizz, it’s totally in!!
