Lauren DeSantis Launches Capital Cooking Cookbook

Delightful smells and sounds were prominent at an intimate event celebrating Lauren DeSantis and the début of her new cookbook Capital Cooking Cookbook. On a quiet Wednesday evening people made their way down to Union Row in the recently transformed and vibrant again U-Street corridor to be part of this delectable event. While waiting to meet and talk with Lauren, attendees could enjoy a variety of food and drink samples from local vendors, as well as enjoy the music from a local artist.

Lauren DeSantis is a very busy woman: during the day she practices law, while making time to host/produce her television show “Capital Cooking”. If you have not had a chance to see her show, it is available on Channel 9407 every Thursday at 6 PM, or you can check out it on her website. I warn you, these dishes are foodie’s dreams come true. She makes mouth-watering dishes while providing directions that can be understood even by non-cooks like me.

The packed event included over 200 guests, but even in the hustle and bustle Lauren was able to take time to speak with her guests and fans. If you would like to learn how to make her fantastic dishes make sure to get your copy of her cookbook. It is available on her website now.
