“Third Crasher” Interested in Challenging Legitimate Invitee, Mayor Adrian Fenty

My readers may recall that AskMissA.com broke the news that Carlos Allen crashed the White House State Dinner. Sanam Toossi, an AskMissA.com contributor wrote that Carlos Allen told her that he had attended the White House State Dinner on November 30, 2009, and I revealed him as the “Third Crasher” name on December 11, 2009. Well the flyer turned up on Facebook last week, and seemed to many to be a joke, but Allen’s attorney, A. Scott Boldenconfirmed Allen’s intention to run to Politico last Wednesday that it is “an accurate document.”  That said, Allen seems to just be testing the waters, or looking for publicity. No papers have been filed, and no sign of an exploratory committee, fundraising, or

petitions. How bold of Allen to challenge Mayor Adrian M. Fenty, who unlike Allen was actually on the guest list for President Obama’s first State Dinner at the White House! I know some of Allen’s neighbors in Mount Pleasant won’t be voting for him! If he decids to start fundraising, I hope it’s not by hosting “swinger parties” that he seems to be famous for hosting at his “HUSH Mansion” according to rumors around town.

Carlos Allen wouldn’t be the first to try to make the most of  notoriety, and DC voters seem to be the most forgiving, and open-minded electorate in the country. Voters here don’t seem to pay much mind to a candidate breaking the law. Hell, it gives them street credibility! Marion Barry’s 1990 arrest for possession of cocaine may have hampered his re-election that year, but after serving his six months in federal prison, he was elected to the D.C. city council and even served as mayor again from 1995 to 1999.He currently serves Councilmember of the District’s Ward 8. Say what you will about him, he takes care of his people and they love him for it!

Marion Barry

Life is stranger than fiction, my friends! I will keep you updated on this!
