On Sunday, January 3rd, Bras & Brunch will host Marla Rice, Owner of Core Essentials, a Pilates studio. Studies show that Pilates improves posture, reduces stress, and creates long, lean, muscles. Marla never dreamed of owning her own Pilates studio, until Bill Marriott, Chairman and CEO of Marriott International, Inc. , gave her the opportunity. As many of Mr. Marriott’s competitors know, he knows a great deal about running a successful business. Marla was Bill’s personal Pilates instructor and he came to rely and respect her instruction so much that he convinced her to go into business for herself, and open a Pilates studio in his corporate office building. He made her an offer she couldn’t refuse, and the rest is history.
