The “Third Crasher” Revealed
There are rumors floating around Washington that Tareq and Michaele Salahi may not have been alone in crashing the State Dinner. It seems that Carlos Allen, CEO of Hush Society Magazine may have also crashed President and Mrs. Obama’s first State Dinner, too. As Carol Joynt reported today on her blog, which quoted my contributor’s post on AskMissA.com, but never mentioned my website, Carlos wasn’t on the State Dinner invitation list. According to some of his Facebook friends, Carlos allegedly posted some photos of himself at the State Dinner on Facebook, which were taken down when the Salahi Gate-Crashing story broke.
Washington really is a small town, and strangely, one of my AskMissA.com contributors met Carlos while volunteering over Thanksgiving at the “Hush Mansion”. She blogged about her volunteer experience on AskMissA.com, writing that Carlos “had just returned from California from the VMAs and had attended the State Dinner the night before”. Carlos thanked my contributor for her article and said it was great, so clearly he didn’t have any problem with what she had written. However, I’m still a bit confused since the VMAs are traditionally held on the 2nd Thursday in September. Maybe it was the AMAs? Sources tell me that Carlos now denies having attended and denies stating that he attended.
Did Carlos attend the State Dinner uninvited? Or did he just lie about attending to impress people? Interestingly, Carlos is friends on Facebook with the Salahi’s former attorney Paul W. Gardner, who was at the Hush Mansion volunteering with my AskMissA.com contributor, and who alledgedly got the Salahi’s into the Congressional Black Caucus Dinner. Did Paul Gardner help get Carlos and the Salahi’s into the State Dinner? I have no idea, but this is apparently the buzz. The Secret Service should go through photos taken at the event and see what’s going on here!
