NY State Assemblyman Greg Ball to ‘Exact Litigation’
In today’s story in the Times-Herald Record, NY State Assemblyman Greg Ball continues to downplay his connection to the now infamous White House State Dinner Crashers, Tareq and Michaele Salahi with whom he planned the Courage Cup in 2005. He also threatens legal action, according to the Times-Herald Record:
The Salahi controversy has also forced Ball to defend himself anew in an ongoing fight with another group that took control of the Courage Cup after he left Washington. In his statement, Ball said: “‘The Courage Cup’ was hijacked by individuals who took over the event, including the logo, name, Web site and did so without proper authorization. These individuals then sought to justify their reprehensible actions by attacking the original volunteers, and myself personally. I am in the process of exacting litigation to right this wrong, while countering and correcting the current slander.”
We will see if NY State Assemblyman Greg Ball will sue the deep pockets of the Washington Post, whose investigative reporting and subsequent 2007 article uncovered Ball’s alledged charity fraud and violation of campaign finance laws in regard to the Courage Cup in 2005. According to the Washington Post’s June 12, 2007 article titled, “Courage Cup: Ponying Up For Whose Charity?” :
New York political action committee started by Ball — which later transferred its entire treasury to his campaign — netted as much as $10,000 by selling tickets to the 2005 Courage Cup. That’s four times the amount the polo match raised that year for its prominently advertised beneficiary, Work to Ride, a Philadelphia charity that teaches poor kids to play polo.
Ball did not sue the Washington Post for libel in 2007, nor did he even seek a retraction.

Is the woman pictured Mrs. Salahi “then” (her over familiar gesture looks the same) or does Assemblyman Ball have his own version of purgatory?
No, the woman in the photo with the Michaele-Joe Biden pose is NOT Michaele.
