Deep Fried Turkeys

Deep Fried Turkey

If you want the traditional holiday food, but don’t have the time or energy to cook everything. Don’t go out to eat for Thanksgiving, because then you won’t have leftovers to enjoy! Bring in delicious catering from my partner, Entree Metropolitan. I have used them for lots of small and large events, and they are amazing to work with. They are offering 12 – 15 pound Deep Fried Turkeys for the Holidays! They’ve got a couple of flavors to choose from: Seasoned Fried, Cajun Fried and Jerk Fried. If you want a 20 – 25 pound turkey, they’re $60. If you have a large crowd to feed, you may consider cooking a traditional oven-baked turkey yourself and bringing in a deep friend turkey for variety. Entree Metropolitan also offers a wide variety of holiday side dishes, and let’s face it, it’s all about the side dishes! Two favorites are their Three Cheese Macaroni and The Absolute Best Cornbread. Click here for a full menu.

I have a large extended family, as my mother has seven brothers and a sister, and my grandparents on my mother’s side also came from huge families. Unfortunately, all my family is in The Netherlands, so our holidays aren’t as full of family members as I would like. I think those fortunate enough to have large families with relatives living close by are truly blessed. I know that there can be a lot of family drama over the holidays, but do take time to appreciate what you have.

My mother will be coming up to DC to see my sister and me for Thanksgiving before she jets off on a trip to Dubai, India,  The Seychelles, and who knows where else. I’m ordering a turkey from Entree Metropolitan, and then my mother and I will cook up our favorites ourselves. I am looking forward to being able to relax and enjoy my time with my mother and don’t want to be cooking the entire time. I think hiring a caterer to do some of the cooking is a great way to supplement your Thanksgiving dinner.

I love working with Jay Jackson at Entree Metropolitan, and I know you’ll love him, too! I always like to do business with other small business entrepreneurs, as I feel we all need to stick together and support each other in this current economic climate.
