I hope that everyone will save the date for the Opening of Paws, Purrs & Exotics Animal Hospital from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. this Saturday, July 18th. I’m excited to announce that Alexandria’s Mayor William D. Euille is expected to attend and participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday to celebrate the opening of the first African-American owned animal hospital in Alexandria, and one of the very few in the DC Metro area.

Bring your dog to win great prizes in our Dog Show, which will take place right after the opening ceremony. At 4:00 p.m., we’ll have a Doggie Fashion Show showcasing handmade pieces designed by Kristina Robertson, Owner of Barkley Square Bakery & Boutique and Karing by Kristina pet sitting.

I want to thank my friend, Mrs. Alexandria, Michelle D’Ettorre for writing about the event for Local Kicks, which is a great website for all things Alexandria!

This will be a really fun and wholesome event, which is perfect for kids and families! Hope to see you all there!
