Get Buttered up at Simplysoles June 24, from 5-8:30 p.m. with butter shoe designer, lee riech and SimplySoles owner, Kassie Rempel

Please join me at Simply Soles in Columbia Heights next Wednesday, June 24th from 5 – 8:30pm as we continue the Designer Spotlight Series and host Lee Riech, Lead Designer of Butter shoes. Taste some buttery and bubbly treats compliments of Entrée Metropolitan Catering and Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and then try on some buttery delights from Butter, the vintage inspired shoe collection from Italy, made of the finest materials and richest leathers.

Butter caters to the woman who craves luxurious and sleek silhouettes, but doesn’t want to sacrifice rent in order to buy them. The Butter collection offers superb Italian craftsmanship. Made of soft, supple leathers, the collection is the best combination of style, comfort, and affordability. Each Butter style tells a story, and the designers combine classic silhouettes with modern day sexiness to create a truly feminine collection that is one of a kind. Nothing feels better on your feet than Butter! But don’t take it from us; let your soles do the talking when you try on and preview the current and upcoming collection available for sale

You’ll also get to mingle with Kassie Rempel, one of Washington Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business”. Frustrated by the poor selection of shoes offered for sale online and in fashion catalogs, Rempel turned her passion for shoes into a successful catalog and online business and founded SimplySoles in 2004 with the hopes that other women would appreciate shopping for designer shoes from the comforts of home.  The catalog is mailed nationwide and is available by visiting www.simplysoles.com.  Follow Simply Soles on Twitter, and become a fan on Facebook! And don’t forget to read Kassie’s blog!

Attendees who make a cash or in-kind donation (a pair of gently used shoes) to Suited for Change receive 15% off their total purchase that evening. Suited for Change provides professional clothing and ongoing career and life skills education to low-income women to increase their employment and job retention potential and to contribute to their economic independence. Our services are available at no charge and by referral only to low-income women who have completed job readiness programs and are seeking employment.
