The Hottest New Country Club In Washington!

Some of my readers may not be familiar with Late Night Shots (LNS), a private social network that allows you to fully explore your city’s social landscape and bar scene. Founded by my friend, Reed Landry, LNS was started with the Washington, DC social scene in the Spring of 2006, and has spread like wildfire across the country ever since. My friend, Ashley Taylor invited me to join LNS very early on, and once the infamous Forum was created, I began posting with the moniker, “Miss A”. At first, nobody had any idea who was behind the “Miss A” posts, but Washington is a small town and there really are no secrets in this town, so eventually word got out. In the Summer of 2007, The City Paper wrote a scathing article about the Late Night Shots community and media nationwide picked up the story. It was then that LNS and Miss A were undeniably a part of my life that I would have to own up to. My coworkers who were over a size 6, asked me if I thought they were fat, and my boss at the time sat me down to discuss this little bit from the article:

Judging from the number of posts from Miss A on the site, Rodgers spends a fair amount of time online during the day. “It’s like being at a party during the day when you’re at work,” she says.

Since 2007, I’ve realized that I have body image issues and shouldn’t project my issues on to others. Late Night Shots was the birthplace of the Miss A brand. I feel I owe the website and its founder, Reed Landry, a great deal. So it gives me great pleasure to announce that restaurant impresario Fritz Brogan and LNS founder, Reed Landry have joined forces to open their new joint venture, “The Country Club” at 3277 M Street. Brogan and Landry have been partners in some of Georgetown’s most innovative events over the past few years at The Deck, Gin & Tonic and the members-only Gryphon Room in the basement level of The Guards.

“It was a natural fit to team up,” Brogan explained. “LNS has essentially been our agency of record as far as communicating with our target market and advertising our high-end parties.”

Brogan is a 2nd year law student and has been focusing on his entrepreneurship in expectation of a Republican run for Congress in the 2014 timeframe. Political insiders say his close ties with former Governor Jeb Bush will be proverbial in his bidding.

Much like Bourbon in Glover Park, Country Club will not have a sign on the door. While Landry handled the interior design, Brogan insists it will have his signature “sweaty dance floor”.

The unofficial opening is tonight for friends and “valued patrons”. The event will be hosted by Andrew Forbes, DC councilman Jack Evans and tv and film actor Thomas F. Wilson.
I plan to stop by and check out The Country Club tonight after the Man & Woman of the Year Kickoff Party at The Park! For some reason, Tea Partay comes to mind!!!
