lululemon Fashion Show at Sports Club/LA

In much the same that polo fundraisers in the DC area sprouted up everywhere after the success of the 2006 Ambassador’s Cup which included my nonprofit, The Courage Cup;  fashion show fundraisers have been popping up all over town since the success of Fashion for Paws in 2007! Not only am I modeling this Saturday in Fashion for Paws, but I’m also modeling to benefit Suited for Change next Tuesday!

The Little Black Dress Club of Washington is hosting a fashion show fundraiser showcasing cute athletic gear from lululemon‘s Spring Collection at The Sports Club/LA at the Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Washington. In addition to the fashion show, there will be a raffle, complimentary appetizers, Little Black Dress Cocktail samples, and drink specials. Event attendees will receive a swag bag filled with goodies such as a one-week pass to The Sports Club/LA, a 15% discount at lululemon, a discount on services at Easel Hair Salon, bath melts, body butter, lip balm, and more! I suggest you purchase your tickets online for $35, as they are $40 at the door.

My beautiful friend, WUSA 9’s Morning Traffic Anchor, Angie Goff will the Mistress of Ceremonies for the event. Other models for the event include:

Jessica Andrews
Aimee Bosse
Angela Fox
Jennifer Howe
Julia Karpov
Tamera Lawrence
Linda Monroe
Shannon Portillo

For those who have never heard of The Little Black Dress Club, they have created a community of interesting and adventurous women who enjoy a variety of activities. Their members host events as diverse as casual happy hours and gourmet dinners to rock climbing and scuba diving. Their mission is to create a worldwide community so as when women move or travel, there will always be a friend to share an occasion.

Funds raised at this fashion show event will benefit Suited for Change, which is a terrific organization that provides professional clothing and ongoing career and life skills education to low-income women to increase their employment and job retention potential and to contribute to their economic independence. Their services are available at no charge and by referral only to low-income women who have completed job readiness programs and are seeking employment.

I hope that you will join us at this fun event next week!
