Come Toast The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 2009 Man & Woman of the Year Campaign with Me!

Some of you who have known me for a while may remember that I participated in the 2004 Man and Woman of the Year Campaign and came in 2nd Runner Up. The Man and Woman of Year Campaign is a very successful fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and was the inspiration for both the Fashion for Paws Model Washingtonian and Blondes vs. Brunettes fundraising competitions. The Washington, DC area has typically raised more money than any other major city for this national campaign, so it’s highly competitive.
Although the candidates will not be officially announced until the formal campaign Kickoff on April 1, the following individuals have already signed up to participate:
Margaret Babbington, Long and Foster
Dave Belford, Broad Street Realty
Rodney Beverly, Microsoft
Meagan Campion , Lockheed Martin
Cathy Clime, La Sonata Enterprises
Dani Greene, Arlington County Public Schools
Bob Holmes, Landry Creedon and Associates
Ari Hausfeld Jones, Moms for a Cure
Kane from HOT 99.5
Jennifer Keating, CDW
Andrew Kepley, Deloitte
Wil Lash, ProvatoHR & Vh1
Molly Marshall, EMC Global Services
Luis Mendoza, HSBC Securities
Sarah Milligan, National Association of Broadcasters
Hank Minitrez, Dept. of Army and Tigerden Martial Arts
Nadine Namoff, Accenture
Hap Peden, IBM
MaryJo Robinson, Booz Allen Hamilton
Lindsey Scott, Habitat Galleries
Kelly Tant, Westland Printers
I hope that you will join me and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to toast to these amazing individuals who are dedicating their time and energy to this 10-week competition. The party will take place at Lotus Lounge, 1420 K Street NW, Washington, DC this Thursday for their Barefoot Bubbly Tasting Party from 7 to 10pm. A $20 donation at the door gets you a complimentary Barefoot Bubbly Champagne Cocktail, $4 beer, wine and call drinks and 1/2 off specialty drinks.
Looking forward to seeing you there,
Miss A
