City Shop Girl

Kelly Collis Fredrick, Founder of CityShopGirl

If you haven’t already heard, CityShopGirl was launched on October 1st by my friend Kelly Fredrick. This service is a lot like Daily Candy, but focuses on alerting shoppers to discounts and specials from boutiques, department stores, spas, restaurants, and specialty stores in the Washington D.C. area.

The emails are short, and meant to be read quickly on your Blackberry or iPhone. The company currently covers the DC market, but plans to expand to several other markets over the next year, including Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Miami, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Seattle. Participating Washington area vendors include the National Jean Company, Equinox, Ultra Violet and Indebleu.

Even though this service is targeted toward the ladies, I think it’s also quite helpful for men who are interested in saving money on restaurants, or looking for gifts for a loved one. If you’re interested in saving money, I suggest you get on the list.
